Member Match

Member Match Initiative

To assist new members in taking advantage of the professional opportunities available within the San Francisco FPA Chapter, a new initiative called the Member Match has been created. If you have questions, feel free to contact iam@iamadvisors.com .

Initiative Overview The Membership Committee will ask existing FPA SF members to “host” a new member. New members will be coordinated with Hosts to participate in the program. Hosts and new members will participate in the program for 3 months. Hosts and new members will meet informally at Chapter meetings, sharing background and experience, and chatting with other members. It is recommended that Hosts and new members sit together at lunch as well, to build a stronger professional relationship. Hosts and new members may also wish to meet once or twice outside of the Chapter meeting to engage in deeper discussion of the profession.

Role and Responsibilities of the Host Meet your matched new member and welcome them to FPA SF. Attend all three Chapter meetings with your matched new member. Describe the chapter, its functions, and opportunities for involvement to the new member. Answer questions and refer the new member to various sources for further information. Introduce the new member to other current members.
